The Workplace Bodycoach has supported over 5,000 people over the last 5 years

Throughout my lengthy sporting career, I have had the privilege of being part of some successful teams, from my younger days playing semi- professional football through to representing the local cricket clubs over 35s, more recently. Right from the start I recognised that talent and hard work are no guarantee of success in the competitive world of support, and that the best teams are always looking for new and innovative ways to improve performance.

Years later when working in the corporate world I quickly realised that sport and business are not too dissimilar and, in both environments, teams are searching for ways to gain an advantage over their competition. The difference, however, was that businesses were slow to recognise the important role that physical health plays in overall performance, in particular, when their teams work in office roles. Then the light bulb moment came when I remembered the impact that self-care, and in particular massage therapy, had on my ability to perform in all areas of my life including work. It was especially important when I started to work long hours in the office, sat at my desk or hunched over the phone, which would place untold stress on my mind and body.

In 2016, I decide to re-train to become a qualified massage and sports therapist, with the goal of enabling more people to benefit from massage therapy by championing the service as one way to support employee wellbeing. Today, The Workplace Bodycoach delivers our massage therapy services to 1000s of individuals across the UK each year and in turn helps our clients to create more engaged and productive teams.
How The Workplace Bodycoach Came To Be
My Sporting Career
Throughout my lengthy sporting career, I have had the privilege of being part of some successful teams, from my younger days playing semi- professional football through to representing the local cricket club more recently. I had my first introduction to massage and sports therapy over 30 years ago now, and from that day on it has become integral to my performance on and off the field.
